About This Event
The Ministry of Manpower lists Deepavali 2026 as Sunday 8 November, with Monday 9 November as the in-lieu day if Sunday is your rest day. That is the holiday. The street show starts earlier. VisitSingapore's 2026 Deepavali page, last updated 20 August, points visitors to Little India for the light-up, the Festival Village on Campbell Lane, food bazaars and street shows. The Little India Shop Owners and Heritage Association runs the official site at deepavali.sg.
Ascott's destination guide, published 26 June and updated 22 July 2026, lists the illumination window as 19 September to 22 November 2026 along Serangoon Road, Race Course Road and Campbell Lane. ParentLah lists a shorter window starting 10 October. When those disagree, treat LISHA and VisitSingapore as the live check, and treat 19 September as the earliest published 2026 start. Street viewing is free. You pay for snacks, henna, clothes and temple donations.
Nearest stations are Little India (NE7/DT12) and Rochor (DT13). For a walking order, start at Serangoon Road and Sungei Road at dusk, then work north. For visitor notes on crowds, food and how this differs from NEX's Mid-Autumn run, read the Serangoon Road walking notes.
